A new surface for your smile
A veneer is a very thin layer of porcelain or composite that covers the front of a tooth. It changes how the tooth looks while keeping most of the natural tooth underneath.
We offer pressable ceramic (Emax) veneers, traditional porcelain veneers, Lumineers and same-day composite veneers. Porcelain and Emax give the most natural translucency and resist stains. Lumineers are ultra-thin and often need little or no preparation. Composite veneers are a quicker, lower-cost option that can be done in a single visit.
Veneers are best for healthy teeth that need a cosmetic change. When a tooth is weak, heavily filled or root-canal treated, a crown is usually the better choice. We will always tell you which suits your teeth.
What veneers can fix
Veneers are a cosmetic treatment for teeth that are healthy but not looking their best.
- Stains that whitening cannot remove
- Small chips or worn edges
- Minor gaps between front teeth
- Teeth that are slightly uneven or misshapen
- Teeth that look too short or too small
- Old bonding that has discoloured
For larger alignment problems, a short course of aligners before veneers can mean less preparation and a better result.

The process
What to expect, step by step. Your own timeline is confirmed once we have examined you.
We examine your teeth, discuss colour and shape, and take photographs and a 3D scan to design your veneers.
Visit 1If needed, a very thin layer of enamel is gently reshaped. For Lumineers and composite veneers, preparation is often minimal or none.
Visit 1Your veneers are made to the approved shade and shape. Temporary veneers can be fitted in between if required.
In betweenEach veneer is checked for fit and colour, then bonded in place and polished. We check your bite before you leave.
Visit 2Why patients choose VIN SMILES for veneers
Veneers are planned and placed by our specialist prosthodontist. Restoring the shape and colour of teeth is the core of that training, and each case is planned for both looks and long-term health.
We offer the full range of materials, so your choice is based on what suits your teeth and budget, not on what one clinic happens to stock.
A specialist for every procedure. No exceptions.
Common questions
Veneers cover only the front of a healthy tooth and need less preparation. Crowns cover the whole tooth and suit teeth that are damaged or weak. We recommend the option that keeps more of your natural tooth.
Not when they are well designed. Shade, translucency and shape are matched to your face and your other teeth.
Porcelain and Emax veneers can last 15 years or more with good care. Composite veneers may need polishing or repair over time.
Porcelain does not change colour with whitening. If you want whiter teeth overall, we whiten first and match the veneers to the new shade.
