A rebuild, not a repair
Full mouth rehabilitation is the coordinated reconstruction of every tooth in both arches, restoring the way your mouth works before restoring the way it looks.
Most dentistry is reactive. A tooth breaks, so it is filled. A tooth is lost, so it is replaced. That approach works when the damage is isolated. It fails completely when the entire system has shifted, because each individual fix is being built onto a foundation that has already collapsed.
Years of grinding, acid erosion, untreated decay or missing teeth do not just damage individual teeth. They lower the height of your bite, change how your jaw joint sits, alter the muscles of your face and quietly rearrange the whole architecture of your mouth. By the time most patients arrive at VIN SMILES, they have usually been told the problem is their teeth. It is almost never only their teeth.
Rehabilitation begins by measuring where your bite should be, rebuilding to that position, and only then addressing colour, shape and symmetry. Function first. Aesthetics follow naturally.
Signs you may need full mouth rehabilitation
Very few patients arrive asking for this treatment by name. Most come in with a specific complaint and discover during assessment that the complaint is a symptom of something structural. These are the patterns we look for.
- Teeth that appear noticeably shorter than they used to
- Multiple missing teeth, or long-standing gaps
- Frequent headaches, jaw ache or facial tension
- Clicking, locking or discomfort in the jaw joint
- Widespread staining, chipping or visible wear
- Old crowns and bridges failing at the same time
- Difficulty chewing on one or both sides
- A face that looks collapsed or aged around the mouth
If several of these apply, treating them individually will be slower, more expensive and less stable than treating them as one connected problem.

The process
What to expect, step by step. Your own timeline is confirmed once we have examined you.
Intraoral scanning, photographs, bite registration and jaw joint assessment, with a CBCT 3D scan to plan from. We measure the collapse precisely before deciding what to rebuild.
Visit 1 · 90 minutesYour new bite height and tooth proportions are designed digitally and shown to you as a simulation. Nothing begins until you have seen and approved the intended result.
Visit 2 · PlanningExtractions, implant placement, bone grafting and periodontal treatment as required. This is where our oral surgeons and periodontist work alongside the prosthodontist leading your case.
Days 2 to 4Temporary crowns hold the new bite position while you test it in normal daily life. Speech, chewing and comfort are assessed and adjusted before anything is made permanent.
Days 4 to 8Final zirconia or ceramic crowns, bridges and implant restorations are fitted, matched precisely to the approved design. Followed by review appointments and a protective night guard.
Days 8 to 14Why patients choose VIN SMILES for this
Full mouth rehabilitation is the single most demanding thing a dental practice can undertake. It requires a prosthodontist to lead it, a surgeon to build the foundation, a periodontist to secure the gums and a laboratory capable of executing the design. Most clinics refer this work out. We do all of it in one building.
Your case is led by a specialist prosthodontist, which means reconstruction is not something they also do. It is the discipline they trained in specifically, and it is the reason patients travel from across India and from overseas for this particular treatment.
Five millimetres of bite raised. One hundred percent of confidence restored. I walked in not believing this was possible.
Patients coming from outside Delhi are scheduled in a compressed window, with treatment sequenced around travel dates and a single coordinator managing every appointment.
Common questions
Most cases complete in ten to fourteen days of active treatment. Where implants are placed, a healing period of two to three months is needed before the final restorations are fitted, which usually means a second visit. Your exact timeline is confirmed after the diagnostic phase.
No. All procedures are carried out under The Wand STA computer-controlled anaesthesia, which delivers anaesthetic at the precise rate tissue absorbs it. Patients consistently describe the injections themselves as the thing they were most anxious about and least noticed.
Usually yes, and for the better. When the bite has collapsed, the lower third of the face shortens and the mouth appears sunken. Restoring correct bite height restores the natural support, which most patients describe as looking rested rather than looking different.
Properly executed rehabilitation using zirconia and ceramic restorations lasts fifteen years and frequently longer. Longevity depends on wearing the protective night guard we provide and attending scheduled maintenance appointments.
Cost varies considerably with the number of teeth involved, whether implants are required and the materials selected. You receive a full itemised plan after the diagnostic appointment, before committing to anything. We have never added an unexpected charge to a patient bill.
