Designed first, then created
A smile makeover is not one procedure. It is a plan that combines the right treatments, in the right order, to give you a smile that suits your face.
Some smiles need colour. Some need shape, length or symmetry. Most need a little of each. A makeover can combine whitening, composite veneers, porcelain veneers, Lumineers, Emax and all-ceramic crowns, gum contouring or aligners, depending on what will achieve the result with the least intervention.
For cases that use Digital Smile Design (DSD), we photograph and scan your smile, then design the new teeth digitally in proportion to your lips and face. You see the plan, ask for changes and approve it before treatment begins. No surprises and no guesswork.
When a makeover makes sense
Patients usually come to us with one thing they dislike about their smile. A makeover looks at everything together.
- Teeth that look uneven, worn or short
- Discolouration that whitening alone cannot fix
- Gaps, chips or old fillings on the front teeth
- A gummy smile or an uneven gum line
- Old crowns or veneers that no longer match
- An important event you want to feel confident for
Not every makeover uses DSD software. Your plan is always built around what your smile actually needs.

The process
What to expect, step by step. Your own timeline is confirmed once we have examined you.
We listen to what you want to change, then photograph and scan your smile with the iTero 3D scanner.
Visit 1Your new smile is designed in proportion to your face. You review it, request changes and approve it.
Design and approvalFor many cases we create a trial smile so you can see and feel the shape before anything permanent is made.
OptionalThe approved design is created with the chosen materials, such as composite or porcelain veneers, Lumineers or ceramic crowns.
Visits 2 to 4We check bite, comfort and finish, and give you clear advice on care to keep the result looking its best.
Follow-upWhy patients choose VIN SMILES for a makeover
Smile makeovers are planned by our specialist prosthodontist, whose work centres on smile design and aesthetic restorations. When aligners, gum contouring or other specialist care is part of the plan, the right specialist on our team joins in.
Because the design is approved before treatment, you know what you are getting. Our smile gallery shows real VIN SMILES patients, not stock photos.
A specialist for every procedure. No exceptions.
Common questions
Most makeovers take two to four visits: consultation and design, preparation, then fitting and review. More complex plans that include aligners or gum treatment take longer. Your timeline is part of the plan you approve.
That is the point of designing first. Proportions are based on your face, lips and existing teeth, and you approve the shape and shade before anything is made.
It depends on the treatment. Composite bonding and many Lumineers cases need little or no preparation. Porcelain veneers and crowns need some. We always choose the least invasive option that achieves the result.
Porcelain and ceramic restorations last many years with good care. Composite work may need polishing or touch-ups over time. We explain the expected lifespan of each option.
